Tuesday of this week is my birthday! Whoop whoop!
I LOVE birthdays! Love having them, love creating parties for them, love giving presents, and admittedly, I like receiving presents too. I’m a gifter. As in, it’s one of my love languages. Even when I get an invitation to something that says “no gifts please,” I totally disobey. I think about the person and the kinds of things they like…and I have the best time choosing and giving them a present! The end of one year and the beginning of a new one is something worth celebrating! And I think presents are pretty celebratory!
So, celebrate we will this week with presents here on the blog! I’ve picked out some of my favorite artists and people to share with you. They’re all joining in the spirit of gifting, and each day, we’ll give away something from their collections to a lucky winner! Would love for you to share the blog and the giveaways with your friends as well! Spread the love!!!
So here’s how it’ll work. I’ve found this handy dandy new way to host giveaways that’ll be in the bottom of each post (thanks Rafflecopter!) It’s easy to enter, and it’ll help me keep better track of everything. I’d love for you to like Life for Dessert and all of these fab-o artists this week on facebook, and for sharing on your own facebook pages, twitter, and however else you like to share… that’d be just extra awesome of you (as well as gain you extra entries!) Help a girl out…share the blog as a present to me for my birthday??
Each giveaway will run for 48 hours. I’ll announce the winner the day after each giveaway ends and you’ll get 48 hours to claim your prize! It’s going to be fun fun fun!
To kick things off, I’m going to get in on the fun myself! I think ya’ll know by now that I work as an interior decorator (secondary to being a full-time mom.) I’ve had the pleasure of decorating nurseries, kids rooms, living rooms, dens, bedrooms, bathrooms and offices. Basically, if you start to think it, I’d love to help you create it!
Once long ago, I heard a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that said “A love of beauty is taste, the creation of beauty is art.” I LOVE beauty, and perhaps as much as I love it, I love to help other people achieve it in their own homes. I would love to help you make a room that reflects your personality, style and taste. It’s nothing for me to put my own spin on something, but to create something that feels like you….that’s my greatest achievement in design! So…that’s what I am going to do for one lucky winner!
Here are a couple of vision boards and spaces that I’ve created for different clients! (So you know what you’re getting into.)
If you win, we’ll have a consult (as in, we can email or call) to discuss your room and ideas. I’ll get some info from you, and then I’ll create a design vision board especially for you! No strings attached…just a fun, free-and-clear design consult and vision board! I love doing this and I will love to engage with one of you readers in this super fun and creative process!
Enter to win below! I’m so excited and I hope you are too!
*In case you happened to notice the incredible typography artwork in the Southern Eye Associates office pictures above, make sure you come back every day this week, because you just might be able to snag some of that eye candy for your own home one day! 🙂

Happy Birthday, Logan and what a way to celebrate, eh!?!
If I could re-decorate I would want to redesign my living room. I live in a cute 1920’s cottage-ish house and I’d love ideas to draw in different textures, design, and beauty while still keeping it child-friendly. I’m not sure that’s even possible, but if there’s one person who can show me how, it’s you, Logan!
Hugs, friend and Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Logan!!! Love the idea of celebrating life with others. Great idea.
I would love to re-decorate my whole house but if I had to choose just one room its the living room!! Its the place where my whole family gathers and the place we enjoy most. We have been in our home for 3 years and nothing really has been done. Life has just been full of busy ness!! I would love to create a fun, warm and inviting room!!

Awww…My daughter will be 21 tomorrow too. If I could redecorate it would be my bedroom. I have been married for 24 years….had some marital problems (infidility) God is restoring! Praise the Lord. Would love to have a new room to celebrate our “New” 2nd half of marriage!
Hope you have a wonderful year filled with destiny of what God created you to become…Blessings of Joy,Peace and prosperity!

Logan,
Our bedroom has been on the redo list for 3 of the 4 years we have lived in the house. But since people don’t see it often it has fallen further down the priority list. But I see it….every day. Even worse, 3 years ago I started the redo and painted 4 stripes down the white walls in various shades of blue and gray (none of which are the “right” shade. Then I got stalled.
My only hope is that the bedroom redo is slated with our master bath redo and we finally have the time, budget and plan for that project this winter. So I need a complementary bedroom plan to ensure both get done!

What room – hmmmmmmmm? As a friend of mine says, “it is so nice that you don’t feel like you have to decorate all the rooms in your house.” Although it does not sound like a complement, kids love to come and run around in my empty rooms! In fact, I think they even request to come here. Okay if I win I will seriously have to think where I need the most help – playroom, bonus room, baby room, master bedroom. My boys’ room is fabulous and my daughter’s room is on its way to adorable, my kitchen is set and my livingroom is okay. The rest of the house could use some TLC;) So fun for a chance to get some advice. Thanks Logan!

Logan!!! I love love love your outlook on life! Always have! I thought of you today when I had a child bring in their Epi pin for their peanut allergy. Happy early birthday!!
I am moving in to a new house in less than two weeks and would love to have help decorating the living room. Starting from scratch is hardest for me. I want the living room to be warm and modern… But still classic at the same time. 🙂

If you could re-decorate any room it would definitely be the kitchen! Just moved and the kitchen is pretty drab, no color and the cabinets are pretty blah. It needs to be a much more welcoming space and a fun place to cook! (or bake, as I like to do more…) Three words describing it would be:
Bright, Inviting, and FUN!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!!!! Love you girl!!!
I NEED HELP! This house is big and open and I am limited with decorating style! My living room area needs help! With the big open concept, tall ceilings and white walls I am at a loss as of what to do. I like traditional styles that are warm and comfortable with a touch of unique flare… although you couldn’t tell that with my current living room 🙂 My 3 words for my desired living room would be: inviting, comfortable, and stylish!

I would choose our master bedroom. After 12 years of marriage, there is no piece of furniture in there that is not secondhand. We don’t even have matching bedding:( I would love to have a warm, elegant, comfortable room:)

I think I’d redecorate my bedroom first. A few years ago while my husband and I were on a mission trip in Guatemala, my mom and two of my friends did a home makeover on my living room and kitchen. My bedroom unfortunately is still stuck in the 70s. My house is mountain lodge-type bungalow looking thing with beams across the ceiling and big stone fireplaces. It was built in the 70s and still has the lovely lime green bathroom countertops and olive green stone-look linoleum. Our bedroom is the old den of the house–we had to put our kids in the other bedrooms. I’d love for it to be a sanctuary from the world. A place of calm, but a place that my MainMost would like to retreat to for time alone with me. So my 3 words are calm sanctuary retreat. 🙂

I’ll be moving into my new home HOPEFULLY sooner than later so I’m not sure what room yet! (thinking the girls hang out/study) Does that disqualify me?!?! 😉

I would love to decorate our basement space. It needs organization, color and texture! So many possibilities!

Happy Birthday Logan!!! I would love to know what to do with our master bedroom! I re-painted and completely chose the wrong color. Not a clue what to do in there to work with the furniture we currently have. I would love for it to feel inviting and clean with a sense of tranquility!
I hope you have a fantastic day!!!!
